SIMPLE CAT TOYS MADE FROM TOY MICE **MOUSE ON A STRING ** The "mouse on a string" will surely be one of your cats favorites. A 15 foot long string and a furry mouse is all you need to provide hours of entertainment for you cat without too much effort required on your part. The mouse on the string is simple to operate. Gather the string with the left hand and hold the mouse with the right (assuming you are right handed). Give the mouse a good toss as you let out the string from your left hand... making sure to hold on the very end of the string. Pull in the mouse slowly using the string as you let your cat pounce onto the mouse. Then repeat it all over again. The "mouse on a string" is great to do from the comfort of your couch, chair, and even your bed. Here is how to make it. Start with a roll of twisted Mason line (about $2.50 at Home Depot) and a furry mouse (buy here).
